BASIC JOB PURPOSE
Under indirect supervision, PROVIDES physical therapy evaluation, management, and treatment services to patients referred by physician departments; PROVIDES manner that is consistent with departments mission statement and responsive to unique needs of customers (i.e., patient and/or family, referring physician, and payer) including favorable clinical outcomes, quality of service and access, and fiscal accountability; SUPPORTS compliance and Principles of Responsibility; MAINTAINS confidentiality; PROTECTS organizational assets; EXHIBITS ethics and integrity; ADHERES to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures; REPORTS and/or RESOLVES issues of non-compliance.On regular, sustained basis, COOPERATES with other staff members both within and outside department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs; SERVES as team player and role model for other employees in Organization always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect; CONDUCTS oneself in service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with members, visitors, public and all employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/TRAININGBachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Valid Hawaii Physical Therapist license (must meet education requirement(s) for Hawaii State licensure); Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
EXPERIENCE/OTHER
Ability to physically assist patients in performing functional tasks and therapeutic exercises; Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in the following: interpersonal relations, oral communication, written communication, group process facilitation, teaching, customer service, self-motivation/initiative, creativity/innovation, and teamwork.Equivalent combination of education & experience (lesser) may be considered in lieu of requirements.
COMMUNICATION AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTST

.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/TRAINING
Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
EXPERIENCE/OTHER
One year of related experience in area applying for (i.e., acute care, skilled care facility, subacute care, outpatient).
